SOME GREAT BLOGGING TIPS

Some Great Blogging Tips

Blogging is virtually unknown a decade ago.  But now, it’s very common for anybody to have who goes online to have a blog.  The profiles of bloggers vary from students, business persons, lawyers, marketing specialists, celebrities to technical experts.  These bloggers talk about just anything under the sun, from things that are going on in their personal lives to their fields of expertise in their chosen careers.

What’s great about blogging is that you can also earn from it while you sit comfortably in your computer chair.  But you have to generate some traffic also to make your site attractive to advertisers.  If you’re new to the blogging world and if you’re writing whether just for fun or to make money, here are some useful tips you might want to consider in creating your next post.

•    Give your personal opinion.  One thing why people like to read other people’s blogs is because it’s personal and not just companies who talk about things to earn money.  Because a blog is personal, there is human connection between the blogger and the reader.  What the reader is interested in are your own thoughts, and not just the same generic ideas of other people.

•    Minimize words.  Your reader’s time is of the essence. Make sure that you’ll be able to give as much information with lesser words.  A long post can also bore and tire your audience.  So try to limit the words of your post as much as possible. A write-up with around 250 words should be enough.

•    Make good titles.  A good title speaks about the gist of the article and at the same time capturing the attention of the reader.  Just by reading the title alone, the reader should already know what the whole post is all about.  You can also pique the interest of your readers through creative and stimulating titles.

•    Create sub-headings.  Every few paragraphs, you can insert sub-headings to make your post easy to read and scan for your audience.

•    Create lists.  If you’re trying to enumerate things, it would be better if you make bullet point lists.  It improves the format and makes your article neat.  Listing your ideas also make it easier to read.

•    Include links that are related to your post.  You can provide more information for your readers by linking other websites into your post.  You can also exchange links with other bloggers to increase traffic in your blog.  The cyberworld is one big community and you can network with just about anybody.

•    Don’t forget to edit.  To ensure that you have placed all the information you need, re-read your article before hitting the submit button.  This also ensures that your post is free from errors as much as possible.

The most important thing about having your blog is that it is completely your own.  So don’t let anybody dictate you and follow whatever style that suits you.  Have fun!
